WEBINAR Giant STEPS Toward P Sustainability

The webinar „Giant STEPS Toward P Sustainability“ of the Sustainable Phosphorus Alliance takes place

on 13. January 2022
at 09:00 AM in Arizona(GMT-7:00)

In October 2021, the National Science Foundation awarded a 5-year, $25M grant to a cadre of US universities and institutes led by Dr. Jacob Jones from North Carolina State University. The resulting STEPS (Science and Technologies for Phosphorus Sustainability) Center represents the largest ever research investment in phosphorus sustainability on the planet. The new Center will integrate research in agronomy, wastewater treatment, transport modeling, material science, economics and much more.

In this webinar, one of the Center’s Deputy Directors, Dr. Ross Sozzani, will explain the mission of STEPS. Then we’ll hear from some of the project’s research leads–Drs. Rebecca Muenich and Treavor Boyer of Arizona State and Dr. Jan Genzer of North Carolina State–who will describe the broad research themes of STEPS and the portfolio of research for the year ahead. Their P sustainability research spans length scales from the atomic to the global. As always, we’ll provide ample time to address audience questions.

Registration is required. Registration details can be found on the website following the link below.
