ManuREsource: International conference 2021
The ManuREsource Organizing committee (VCM, UGent, Inagro en NCM) decided to organise a safe fifth edition of ManuREsource.
The conference takes place
from 24 to 25 November 2021
at Agri & Food Plaza, headquarters of ZLTO, the Southern Dutch farmers organisation, and HAS University of applied sciences (Onderwijsboulevard 225, 5223 DE ’s Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands).
On Friday 26 November 2021 a facultative field trip with exclusive site visits to local manure processing installations will be organised.
Circular agriculture with low emissions and nutrient recovery from manure is high on the European Union agenda. The European Green Deal provides an action plan to boost an efficient use of resources by moving to a clean, circular economy. Several member states have already highlighted the importance of technological research, development and upscaling of the best available technologies for nutrient recovery from manure and the adaption of relevant European legislation.
Collaboration with like-minded member states is of uttermost importance to move to a circular, sustainable manure processing within realistic economic, ecological and social boundaries. Therefore, ManuREsource 2021 aims to accelerate the transition towards a circular economy by exchanging experiences and knowledge with concerned international stakeholders and policy makers from all these regions.
For your safety, the organization will be based on the EU digital COVID certificate – all participants need a valid COVID certificate, which will be checked on day 1 and 2 at the entrance and on day 3 before boarding the busses of the site visits.
