ARREAU Struvite Recovery & Recycling Learning Alliance: Kick-off Event

Are you operating or intending to implement struvite recovery at your WWTP? Meet European struvite recovery operators willing to share their practical experience and learn more about running recovery technologies. Join us at the ARREAU Struvite Recovery & Recycling Learning Alliance (SRRLA) kick-off workshop in Amersfoort, 16 June 2016. The workshop will be linked to the official commissioning of the first WASSTRIP / PEARL / LYSOTHERM facility in the world.

EU-Projekt BioEcoSIM: Open Demonstration Event

Etwa 1.800 Millionen Tonnen Gülle produzieren Schweine, Rinder und Geflügel in Europa jedes Jahr. In dem von der EU geförderten Projekt BioEcoSIM haben 15 Partner aus Forschung und
Industrie unter der Leitung des Fraunhofer IGB eine Anlage entwickelt, mit der sie wertvolle Nährstoffe der Gülle zu verschiedenen Düngemitteln verarbeiten.

Eine Pilotanlage, mit der die Nährstoffe von 50 Kilogramm Gülle pro Stunde direkt vor Ort zu Phosphat- und Stickstoffdünger sowie Biokohle aufgearbeitet werden, stellt das Projektkonsortium Interessierten aus Landwirtschaft und Industrie beim Projektpartner Agro Energie Hohenlohe vor.

Sustainable Phosphorus Management for Future Food Security

This workshop explores the possibilities for saving and recycling phosphorus. It will do so in an interdisciplinary setting by bringing together experts from diverse disciplines such as biogeochemistry, ecosystem studies, plant breeding, molecular biology, microbiology, global integrated assessment modeling, material flow analysis, policy and governance to discuss problems of global phosphorus consumption and to explore solutions for sustainable phosphorus management. The organizers expect an inspiring exchange between the scales and disciplines that will allow for identifying potential future links and present research gaps in the different fields.
