Newfert & Phorwärts Joint Event
The NEWFERT & PHORWÄRTS Joint Event takes place
from 29 to 30 October 2018
at the White Atrium, Avenue de la Toison d´Or 56-60, 1060 Brussels, Belgium
On October, 29th 14: 00 to 16:30 the PHORWÄRTS Dissemination Event “Comparative Life-Cycle Assessment of phosphate recovery from wastewater path and phosphate rock based fertilizer production” takes place. The project had been executed by the Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin and Proman Management and had been funded by the German Federal Ministry of Environment (BMU) and supervised by the German Environmental Agency (UBA).
On October, 30th 09:00 to 15:15 the NEWFERT FINAL WORKSHOP “Nutrient Recovery from bio-based waste for Fertilizer Industry” occur. The workshop includes presentations on requirements set by the fertilizer industry, technological developments for bio solid treatment and legal barriers. In discussion tables the workshop participants will elaborate strategies to foster nutrient recycling in practice. The project is executed by Fertiberia, Drage&Mate, Universidad de Leon, Irstea, the Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin and Proman Management. The Newfert project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N°: 668128.
